I've seen the like/dislike feature on several forums now where you're able to 'like' or 'dislike' a post made by a member, some wrestling related sites as well as non-wrestling sites - I think it's a pretty nice feature to have on a site to show if people like shows, RPs, general comments etc. and adds to the enjoyment of the forum.
What do you guys think about this?

I'll look into getting a code to support this. Thanks for the idea.

I am going to have to voice my opinion in the opposite direction on this. I am not a fan of the like/dislike buttons on forums, because people use the dislike button for the sole purpose of disagreeing with someone they don't like, without having to give their opinion on the issue or topic being addressed. If you don't like what someone has to say or disagree with an opinion say so and not just hide behind a "dislike" button.

VA doesn't like it because everyone just generally hated his ideas in another site that will not be named. I understand VA's hesitance, but honestly, this ship is run a lot tighter than the one you've had problems with in the past. Personally, I feel that generally, most of the members on here recognize good work and thus, we don't really have the problem you're referring to. Good idea, Jackal. I'd like it if I could.. Because liking a post... is... PEOPLE... POWER!

What if we set up a poll asking the members about it? If majority rules... then it passes.

Alright, well in the interest of "compromise" is there a way to only code a "like" button and completely remove the "dislike" button? IF you like something sure hit the button, but this way if you DON'T like something you would still have to speak up and give your opinion on whatever it is you don't like. It would be far more constructive and USEFUL that way.

Haha, thanks Ryden!
And I understand your point VA - some people do use it to disagree with someone without typing a single word but maybe just encourage others to give reasoning behind a dislike if it ever occurs? Maybe throw it up in the rules as an encouragement or let it be known now and again? Everyone here seems alright so hopefully it won't happen if it gets done, but your idea of finding a way to remove the dislike button sounds great too.

I added the feature and disabled the dislike ability.
